Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Santa Fe
The IOP at Mesa Vista Wellness is a 12-week program that includes group and individual therapy. I'm most impressed that it also gives clients access to wellness offerings including restorative yoga, sound healing, and shamanic work.
The group therapy sessions cover helpful topics like managing cravings, vulnerability, guilt and shame, trauma symptoms and triggers, stress reduction, emotional regulation and co-occurring conditions.
During individual therapy sessions, experienced clinicians can help clients through a variety of techniques including mindfulness and meditation practices, CBT, EMDR, and DBT.
They also offer some unique treatments including sand tray and SoulCollage. Sand tray uses sand, toys, figurines in sand to help people understand trauma, anxiety and other difficult emotions. SoulCollage uses images for a similar therapeutic purpose.
Wellness for Adolescents
Mesa Vista Wellness has a program for adolescents called Group Recovery Oriented Wellness (GROW). This program helps you to explore how their choices impact their well-being and gives them the tools to develop valuable life skills.
This program uses group, individual, and family counseling as well as hands-on activities (like art, games and movement) to support young people. GROW Is a 9-week program that helps teens build self-esteem, make healthy connections, develop confidence and courage and leave feeling empowered to succeed in life.
