About Meridian Health Services

Meridian Health Services is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Indianapolis, Indiana providing integrated substance abuse treatment, behavioral health and primary medical care. This outpatient addiction treatment center serves adults and young adults in Marion County with medication assisted treatment, intensive outpatient programs and co-occurring disorder care.

With nearly 50 years of experience in Indiana, Meridian takes a whole person approach by addressing physical, mental and social well being in one accessible location.

Addiction Treatment Programs

Clients begin with a comprehensive assessment to determine the right level of outpatient care, whether regular outpatient counseling or a more structured intensive outpatient program. Meridian also offers medication assisted treatment using methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone for individuals managing opioid or alcohol use disorders.

Throughout treatment, clients participate in individual counseling and group therapy, and family or couples counseling using evidence based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, the matrix model and relapse prevention. I think it's important to note that the peer recovery services and contingency management support long term sobriety, while integrated care ensures that co-occurring mental health conditions are addressed alongside addiction.
