About MercyOne House of Mercy

Since 1988, House of Mercy has been a nonprofit and has helped adults and their families who have drug use and mental health disorders. When you sign up, there'll be a lot of outpatient (OP) options to choose from. They're part of the MercyOne network. You'll find 'em located in Des Moines, Iowa.

They accept many private insurers, Medicaid, and Medicare. You may also be eligible for discounted fees if you don’t have insurance.

You might be wondering what makes them so special. Well, you can access residential and outpatient options. Each has a customized treatment plan that places your exact needs first. Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), parenting education, life skills training, and 12 Step meetings are available. These approaches can help get to the root of your addictions so that you can build coping skills to address it in a healthy way.

How else do they stand out? Their specialized parenting programs offer many unique tracks. In part, this is because they prioritize pregnant women in their waiting list. You can participate in workshops for dads, child and parent therapy, and their Circle of Security program. These sessions help you learn essential parenting skills to better your family. They also offer onsite accredited daycare. Their emphasis on family shines through in these features. You and your child will have a safe, supportive environment to learn and heal together.

There are some additional programs that can supplement your recovery. They can improve your nutrition so you're feeling fit and don't have to rely on drugs to feel energized and confident. There's a program for dads who want to be more involved with their kids. You can also take parenting classes so you can better communicate with your children. This'll help if interventions and prevention strategies are needed.

Another feature was their walk-in services. They offer same-day substance abuse assessments to determine the best level of care for you. Deciding to seek addiction treatment can be a challenging step. It’s wonderful that you can easily find the care you need whenever you’re ready with this service.

They're accredited by CARF and licensed by the state.
