About Mary Hall Freedom Village

Located less than 20 miles outside of Atlanta, Mary Hall Freedom Village provides empathetic recovery services for women in Sandy Springs, Georgia, and the Metro Atlanta area. This CARF accredited community organization has served over 18,000 women since its inception in 1996. With a dedication to helping women, children and families overcome poverty, homelessness, addiction and mental health conditions, they provide a supportive environment for healing.

You can participate in multiple services and resources to help you and your family get back on your feet no matter where you are in recovery. They offer a continuum of care, from residential rehab to sober living. You’ll benefit from personalized services to help you build essential coping skills and promote success in recovery. Each program blends group therapy as well as addiction and mental health education. You can also access case management that will connect you with resources to further your journey and improve other life aspects.

One neat feature I noticed about them was their various housing services. Along with comprehensive addiction treatment, they provide different types of recovery, emergency, transitional and permanent housing. I think this approach is awesome because you’ll have multiple options to fit your unique needs.

For me, their career development services really stood out. Finding employment after treatment can be challenging. They ensure you gain the skills to flourish in a career and develop a solid plan for life after rehab. You can participate in job readiness assessments, vocational training, employment coaching, resume writing support and literacy programs. They can also refer you to their community partners for transportation assistance, background expungements and workplace attire.

Another incredible thing I like about their program is their additional groups. You can participate in targeted groups focused on sexual trauma, domestic violence and relationship challenges. They provide a safe space to share your story without fear of judgment. You can learn from and connect with others who can resonate with your experiences to heal together.
