Martinsburg Institute – Methadone Clinic & Suboxone Clinic

Martinsburg Institute (MI) is located in Martinsburg, West Virginia. They offer behavioral health services to address and treat co-occurring mental health issues and substance use disorders.

They are part of the Addiction Treatment Systems program which includes five additional clinic locations in neighboring Maryland including Takoma Park, Waldorf, Annapolis, Brooklyn Park and Frederick.

They specialize in treating opioid addiction through their outpatient clinics. Their services are offered at a standalone clinic with onsite parking between Janice Street and East Road.

When you arrive at MI, you will be connected to an addictions specialist, who will determine if you qualify for intake. They will provide methadone and suboxone treatment to address your opioid addiction along with one-on-one counseling, group therapy and support group meetings. They also perform regular drug screenings to encourage your sobriety during your treatment.

MAT Treatment to Address Withdrawal Symptoms

I like that they also offer detoxification services to address your withdrawal symptoms from opioid addiction. They will provide you with medication assisted treatment (MAT) to assist you with your cravings in conjunction with therapy, as you undergo the stabilization process.

I find it good to know that they also offer family and relationship support for your loved ones to help them understand your addiction and behavioral changes. They additionally offer referral services if you require higher levels of treatment and support.
