About Marsh Foundation
The Marsh Foundation is a non profit children's services agency in Van Wert, Ohio providing residential care, education and clinical services for youth with behavioral and emotional needs. Their continuum of care includes on campus group homes and therapeutic foster care, outpatient counseling and specialized programs. For over a century, their mission has been to create a structured healing environment where youth and families can build resilience and skills for a brighter future.
Residential Care and Therapeutic Group Homes for Boys
The Marsh Foundation specializes in licensed QRTP compliant residential group homes for boys ages seven to seventeen who are experiencing serious emotional and behavioral challenges. Their around the clock care integrates the nationally accredited Teaching Family Model with on site schooling and clinical support on a sprawling rural campus.
Treatment focuses on building positive relationships, developing life skills and fostering emotional regulation within a structured home like setting. I think it's important to note that reviews frequently highlight this supportive environment and many note it as a place where youth experience personal growth and healing.
Healing Through Equine Assisted Therapy
A standout aspect of their therapeutic approach is equine assisted learning and psychotherapy. This year round indoor facility helps youth engage with horses to build confidence, improve social skills and process trauma in a non verbal and experiential way. I believe this unique therapeutic experience can benefit young adults and their loved ones.
Comprehensive Support for Youth and Families
The Marsh Foundation serves youth and families across western Ohio from its primary campus on Lincoln Highway and offers both in person residential programs and community based clinical services. As a longstanding non profit, they accept Medicaid, private insurance and other state funding sources to facilitate access to care.
