About Maniilaq Health Center

Maniilaq Health Center provides comprehensive behavioral health services (BHS) to residents within the northwest Arctic borough and the village of Point Hope. BHS offers various programs to support the local community and empower individuals, families, and community members to be managers of their own healing and holistic health.

Part of BHS services includes the Maniilaq Counseling and Recovery Center (MCRC), which provides culturally relevant and family centered mental health and substance use disorder treatment. All individuals and age groups are welcome. Offerings include crisis counseling, medication management, comprehensive assessments, individual and family therapy, play therapy, and other modalities of healing. Programs are available on an outpatient or telepsychiatry basis. MCRC also provides services for the Juvenile/Adult Safety Action Program for adults and youths referred by the Alaska courts.

Medicare and Medicaid are accepted, and no cost options are available.
