About Meridian Health Services Anderson
The Meridian Health Services is accredited by The Joint Commission as a treatment facility in Anderson, Indiana. For the last 50 years, they have provided care to adults and pregnant women who are struggling with substance abuse disorders. Some of the many services available for you will include medication management, psychiatric evaluation, addiction education, substance use disorder assessments, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
You’ll benefit from receiving treatment here whether you are uninsured or underinsured. They offer sliding scale fees and private payments.
With outpatient care, you have the flexibility to maintain weekly responsibilities like employment or child care while receiving healing and being able to go home. Their intensive outpatient treatment (IOT) is nine hours a week. Individual counseling and group sessions can be part of your weekly schedule. Their aftercare treatment will consist of relapse prevention programs that last up to 12 weeks.
What stands out to me the most is their maternal treatment program. Being a parent with a newborn and also struggling with addiction can be overwhelming, and it can be difficult to reach out due to the feeling of being misunderstood or judged. This program offers individualized integrative care to help you improve your quality of life and receive the support you and your child may need to move forward. This program was developed to enhance the infant and family life and decrease Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). This program includes case management, parenting education, trauma therapy, budgeting, care coordination, MAT, nutrition education, positive pregnancy, and life skills training.
Where they are located offers a variety of activities to do. During time off from treatment sessions you can spend time outdoors and go for a nature walk at the Rangeline Nature Preserve or The Mounds State Park. Being outside in greenspaces allows you to decompress and self-reflect on your recovery and progress.
