About Larimer County Community Corrections
The Larimer County Community Corrections is a treatment facility located in Fort Collins, Colorado. They offer treatment programs to adult men and women over the age of 18 who are involved in the justice system and are struggling with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
What really sticks out to me is the area where this treatment facility is located. They are surrounded by walking trails, national parks, lakes and reservoirs. This provides opportunities to connect with nature and self reflect as you work through your recovery process.
To better assist you with this process, they will complete an evaluation and screening. This is to gain a better understanding of what treatment would benefit you most and if you would be an appropriate fit for the programs offered here. The waitlist to be in the program can range from one to two weeks.
Their Strategic Individualized Remediation Treatment (STRIT) program is 21 days with a continuation of six months of aftercare. This program’s mission is to help reduce the risk of recidivism by raising awareness regarding the impacts of chemical dependency. By providing more insight and education, they can discourage criminal, harmful, and/or illegal behavior.
The men’s intensive residential treatment (MIRT) program lasts 90 days with intense focus on treatment for chemical dependency. They can help you heal from trauma and identify risk reduction for criminal reengagement in a comfortable, safe, and secure setting. You will be under a contract that will connect you with probation, parole, and the justice system.
They also offer inpatient treatment for individuals who are struggling with chemical dependency and mental health conditions. This program includes assessments and screenings. This program’s mission is to equip you with tools you can benefit from and help you maintain more manageability in your day to day life.
This program was designed for individuals who are sentenced by the judicial courts or are transitioning out of incarceration. The program will include medication monitoring, meetings, home visits, and drug screenings.
