About Lake Whatcom Center

Lake Whatcom Residential and Treatment Center provides co-occurring substance abuse and mental health treatment for adults 18 and older. They have multiple assisted living facilities depending on the goals and needs of each resident. It's out in woodsy Bellingham, Washington.

Guests are encouraged to be responsible and as independent as possible. They've 24/7 staff supervision and medical care to ensure safety and comfort. Medication assisted treatment and nurses are available to help with withdrawal symptoms and reduce drug cravings.

Individual counseling and group therapy are daily components of your program. These sessions can help explore behavior patterns and thought processes. You'll share your experiences and learn from others as you progress together. Your counselor can develop a plan for healthier coping skills, relapse prevention methods, and recognizing potential substance use triggers.

They also include independent life skills training and various classes to help residents develop self-sufficiency throughout the program. You’ll have three meals a day and a comfortable setting where you can focus on recovery from addiction.
