About Lahey Health Behavioral Services Lawrence
Lahey Health Behavioral Services is a community health center serving youths, adults, and their families. You'll find 'em located in metropolitan Lawrence, Massachusetts. You’ll receive outpatient treatment for substance abuse, mental health care, and other behavioral health challenges. They also provide crisis stabilization, medication management, and care coordination.
The intensive outpatient program (IOP) includes trauma informed counseling and rehab strategies. This program meets several times per week but allows you to live at home and maintain your normal life. The partial hospitalization program is a more intensive program with sessions running five days per week for six hours at a time. Medication management may treat opioid addiction and withdrawal or mental health disorders.
In a safe, home-like setting, the team can initiate counseling and active case management. In partnership with this program, they work with first responders to engage in jail diversion support. Youth crisis care uses a holistic family approach.
The community crisis stabilization program is an alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. This program is for adults who are experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis. You’ll engage in a comprehensive assessment, psychoeducation, individual therapy, care coordination, and ongoing psychiatric care.
Adult and youth mobile crisis teams are available 24/7 and often travel out into the community to assess people in person. The mobile crisis team will attempt to de-escalate, assess, and stabilize the person in crisis.
A person who attended their crisis program said that this program saved her life. She also said the staff was incredible. Some former clients reported having issues with getting their medications.
