An Outpatient Drug Rehab Center in Baton Rouge

LHRC’s Life Care Center provides intensive outpatient (IOP) and standard outpatient recovery programs for teens and adults struggling with substance abuse and concurrent disorders. The center also features a specialized prevention program for children of alcoholics.

Admission criteria for the adult program require participants to be 21 years and older. Meanwhile, the teen program accepts individuals aged 13-20 years. For the kids’ prevention program, children aged 5-12 years are accepted. Participants in all programs must have substance use disorders as their primary diagnoses.

In terms of the treatment services provided, there’s crossover between the teen and adult programs. You can expect a mixture of case management and care coordination services, life skills training, and psychosocial, anger management, and HIV education sessions. Counseling services include individual, group, and family sessions.

Residential Addiction Treatment for Pregnant Individuals

A specialized inpatient treatment program is also available for pregnant people, as well as women with dependents aged 0-12 years.

This specialized facility has 30 beds and allows residency for up to 6 months, and features similar treatment services to that included in the outpatient programs, as well as more specialized elements. You can expect Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder screening and treatment, parenting training, nutrition education, and tutoring for the kids.
