About Lower Keys Medical Center DePoo Medical Building

The Lower Keys Medical Center in Key West, Florida, includes the DePoo Building, which houses the behavioral health program. This program has an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for those with substance use disorders and/or co occurring mental health issues. They accept most major insurance plans as well as private payment.

Personalized Care for Those With Addiction and Co-Occurring Disorders

The intensive outpatient program offers the usual nine hours of treatment hours using evidence based individual and group treatment. The goal is to help patients achieve a stable long term recovery and avoid relapse or admission to the hospital.

I noticed that the Lower Keys Medical Center has social workers available for clients as well as therapists, nurses and psychiatrists. Social workers can help you transition out of the program into independent living by helping you connect with housing services and support for long term employment and/or education. They can also help you find peer recovery groups and other services.

Having a safe and substance free place to live along with appropriate employment can help reinforce your new habits and keep you established in your sober lifestyle. You’ll be less tempted to return to your old friend group and lifestyle when you have a strong sober network and ongoing reinforcement.

Metropolitan Area

Addiction treatment in the metro area benefits clients by offering seamless connections from the city, around the state, and those seeking out-of-state treatment. Another benefit of attending a metro area drug rehab is that you’re close to major airports and ground transportation services.

Business Center

Business centers are a preferred amenity in many mental health and addiction recovery facilities and typically feature secure, high-speed internet, computer stations, printers, and related business technologies. Business centers are designed to enable professionals and students to continue to participate in work or school activities without leaving the treatment facility.

Men's Rehab

Gender-specific addiction treatment gives men who are struggling with substance use disorders a connection point to other men with similar struggles. This common ground can make a huge impact on men’s rehab in Florida.

Women's Rehab

Often, women who have a substance use disorder also have a co-occurring disorder. Women’s rehab in Florida often addresses both the addiction and mental health disorder with dual diagnosis treatment.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Florida helps people in treatment to revisit painful thoughts and memories and learn new ways to cope with them. These newly-learned techniques replace substance use and help the individual maintain sobriety.

Drug Rehab

Florida residents who are struggling with substance abuse don’t have to face their challenges alone. Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome addiction and make a full recovery.

Senior Drug & Alcohol Rehab

If you're over the age of 65, elderly rehab in Florida gives you the opportunity to be in a treatment program with your peers. This tends to be helpful for older adults because they can receive mutual support and acceptance from their peers. These programs are specifically designed for seniors.
