The Monroe County branch of The Advocate Program offers a DUI program from a clinic in Marathon, Florida. Located in the heart of the Florida Keys, you’ll find an abundance of fish restaurants close by, perfect for a healthy meal and a seashore excursion following an appointment.

DUI Educational Programs in Monroe County

The Advocate Program works to enhance public safety through its DUI Educational Course. They offer two courses: Level I and Level II. Level I is for clients who have had one substance-related traffic arrest or conviction in their lifetime. Level II is for those who have had more than one substance-related offense and/or have previously completed the Level I Course.

The DUI programs consist of instructional and interactive education that enlightens clients about the impact of substance use on their driving ability, on others around them, and their general well-being as a whole. I like how clients identify behavioral goals and work on developing the tools to attain them. They’ll also get a refresher on Florida’s DUI laws and the DUI process in the Florida court system.

Level I requires 12 hours of education, while Level II requires 21 hours, which includes a review of the Level I program. As Level II is for repeat offenders, there is an emphasis on personal choices and special issues significant to repeat offenders.

I appreciate that The Advocate Program allows simple online enrollment, offers services in English and Spanish, and has accessibility aids for those who may require them. Limited Veterans’ services are also available. I noticed that they’re only open on Tuesdays by appointment.
