About Kern County Teen Challenge

Kern County Teen Challenge is an alcohol and drug rehab center that provides addiction treatment to men and women seeking recovery in the Bakersfield, California area. They offer a gender-specific program that provides a one-year residential addiction treatment opportunity for individuals who want to heal through a faith-based program.

Kern County Teen Challenge provides a three-phase process where clients slowly work through the program and integrate its teachings. Spiritual activities, work-related activities, and reflective assignments are a part of the transformational process. Individuals are also involved in community outreach services. These services include evangelism, tutoring and academics for children, drug education and prevention programming, and visits to juvenile halls and jails to help individuals who are in need of additional support.
