About Kent Comprehensive Treatment Center
Kent Comprehensive Treatment Center offers opioid use disorder treatment services for adults in an outpatient setting. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is utilized to help clients recover from their addiction.
Individuals can pay for this service through commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. I also like that clients who don’t have insurance may be eligible to have their services paid for through state and public funding.
Medication Assisted Treatment Near Seattle
One thing I think is great about this location is it’s just a half hour away from Seattle. In between your treatment sessions, you can have some fun doing activities such as visiting the Space Needle or looking at art at the Museum of Pop Culture. They’re also across the way from Garrison Creek Park if you like to unwind a bit between sessions.
Restoring Your Focus on Recovery
One difficult part of recovery for clients is managing their withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Symptoms such as stomach aches and anxiety may make it more difficult for clients to focus on their addiction recovery and potentially cause them to relapse.
Kent CTC provides medications such as methadone, Suboxone, and buprenorphine to reduce your symptoms. As you start to feel more stable in your mind and body, your counselor can help you begin developing an understanding of what caused your addiction.
Individual and group counseling will be provided to help you heal the emotional effects of your substance use. In individual therapy, you’ll receive help identifying the negative thought patterns that are hindering your recovery and learn how to change them. Group therapy will be where you can connect with other adults who are working through recovery and feel less isolated as you share your experience and receive encouragement.
