About Jewish Community Behavioral Health Services
Based in Miami, Florida, Jewish Community Behavioral Health Services offers accredited counseling and support services for the Jewish community in South Florida. This includes support for issues like substance abuse. Care is available to young people and their families, as well as adults and seniors.
It’s great to see another center offering specialized support to a minority community. They do this by providing counseling, including 1:1, group, couples, and family sessions. They also provide peer support groups, crisis counseling, and conflict resolution sessions. Specialized support services for both the Orthodox Jewish Community, and LGBTQIA+ individuals are also available. Individuals with concurrent mental health issues can also find support here.
Children and youth-specific services also include individual and family therapies, mental health services, and play therapy.
In terms of more general support, job assistance, and support for survivors of domestic abuse as well as much more is available here for those in need. However, one thing that should be said about this facility is that while their behavioral services may encompass substance abuse, it’s not their speciality. For those in need of more intensive services, referrals can be provided.
Though few reviews are available, those that do exist are positive. Former clients mention the friendliness of their staff, and the wonderful experience they provide.
