Jesus House is an alcohol and drug rehab center that provides long-term residential addiction treatment to the underprivileged. You'll find 'em located out in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They run a faith-motivated program that uses Jesus Christ as an example of compassion and influence extended to others. One of the best things about them is that their services are completely free.

Rooted in the love of Jesus Christ, their treatment philosophy focuses on helping you flourish. You’ll live onsite in their residential facility for 10-12 months. During the first 6 months, programming motivates healing, safety, and renewed faith. You’ll participate in about six hours of daily work, such as kitchen duties, warehousing, cleaning, security, or reception.

They complement work therapy with interventions and services. These can include daily spiritual and recovery classes, case management, and 12 Step meetings.

What stands out most to me is they offer career services. As you progress in your journey, you’ll work with a career transition specialist to achieve your vocational goals. Their team helps you build professional skills and secure employment. You’ll benefit from education and training to transform your life and prepare for life in recovery.

Another notable aspect is their community partnerships. Many struggle with mental health conditions along with addiction. They partner with local organizations to assist with co-occurring disorders. This includes counseling and medication management.

I also love that they focus on reducing food and basic needs insecurity. Their organization provides daily hot meals, a food pantry, and clothing for people with low incomes and those experiencing homelessness.
