Jade Wellness Center is a family owned substance abuse treatment center with multiple locations in Pennsylvania. One of their outpatient clinics is in Monroeville. They offer customized treatment plans that may include medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and counseling.

I like that many staff members have personal experience of dealing with addiction. As such, they can offer empathetic and compassionate care.

They are in-network with Aetna, Cigna, UPMC, Highmark BlueCross BlueShield, Community Care Behavioral Health Medicaid for Allegheny County and Carelon Behavioral Health. They work with out-of-network providers as well.

Their partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides you with individual group and family counseling sessions as well as peer support. You can also access psychiatric services as needed. Clients at this level will attend the clinic between four to six hours every day for five days a week. You'll stay at this level of care as needed for your progress. The goal for this level is to achieve and maintain recovery and understand relapse risks. You will learn how to apply coping skills and increase your healthy relationships, behaviors and thoughts.

Their intensive outpatient (IOP) program meets three days a week for three hours. They offer morning, afternoon and evening sessions to suit your schedule. You'll have a primary therapist who will help you develop your treatment goals as well as help you work through roadblocks in individual counseling. At the end of the IOP you have access to ongoing aftercare that meets either monthly or twice a month.

In addition to offering common medication to assist with addiction recovery, Jade Wellness also offers Sparrow Therapy. This is a wearable, drug-free option for opioid recovery. It sends mild electrical signals through your skin that boosts endorphin levels in your brain. Studies show that people feel withdrawal symptoms decrease as quickly as 30 minutes through this form of treatment.
