About Irvington Counseling Center
Based in New Jersey, Irvington Counseling Center is an outpatient counseling facility that provides care to residents of Irvington and its surrounding communities. Care is available to kids, teens, adults, families and couples regardless of race, gender or background. Most insurance plans are accepted including Medicaid and Medicare. Options are also available for uninsured individuals.
Founded in 1961, this center was established with the vision of offering a variety of mental and behavioral health services to its local community. Having since seen countless individuals come and go, seeking help for a whole range of personal issues and mental health difficulties, their decades of experience are an invaluable resource to their clients. One of the core tenets of their philosophy is that all people should have easy access to mental health services should they need them.
In terms of the services they offer, clients can expect clinical and case management services, individual, group and family therapy as well as psychiatric services. The center also works closely with local organizations, schools, hospitals and courts to provide a rounded toolbox of support for various social issues including substance abuse and self-harm, transitional periods and more.
As for what former clients have to say, feedback is mixed. Some praise individual therapists by name for their unforgettable care and support which is great to see. Meanwhile, others describe the center as disorganized and irresponsible with some blaming new management. It’s otherwise described as a fairly small, clean and professional facility.
