About Intermountain Hospital
Intermountain Hospital is a substance abuse rehabilitation center in Boise, Idaho. They offer inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment and psychiatric care for adults, seniors, and adolescents. New Start Center for Recovery is its own 30 bed freestanding facility on the Intermountain campus that focuses on substance abuse only.
The inpatient program for adolescents is called Journeys and the inpatient service for older adults is called Generations. Partial hospitalization care and intensive outpatient programs are available for people who can’t commit to inpatient stays.
The Generations program helps older adults who have substance abuse or mental health concerns. They receive a medical and psychiatric assessment at intake and are given an individualized treatment plan. Short and long term goals are developed and interventions are established.

The general inpatient program for adults focuses on psychiatric illness. New Start Center for Recovery’s inpatient program is for adults with addiction and co occurring PTSD or other mental health issues.
