Medically Supervised Withdrawal For Opioids and Alcohol
Detox is typically the first stage of addiction recovery for most people. A detox program weans the body off addiction related toxins in preparation for the main therapy. InterCommunity Health Care’s withdrawal management or detox center is a 12 bed highly structured and therapeutic environment. The facility provides medically supervised withdrawal management for adults dealing with alcohol, opioid, and benzodiazepine use disorders. This involves a carefully managed withdrawal procedure with 24/7 monitoring and support by trained personnel.
These trained personnel may offer FDA-approved medications to help you manage withdrawal symptoms. Counseling and therapy may be incorporated into the procedure as well to help you better manage chronic pain. The goal is to ensure safe and comfortable withdrawal. Detox may last between five to ten days depending on your unique condition. Most clients ideally continue their recovery journey by transitioning to InterCommunity Health Care’s intensive residential program. You may also choose to explore outpatient services or community based support groups to further build on your progress.
