About Inter-Care

Based in New York City, Inter Care Manhattan is a drug rehab and mental health center. Care is available to adults aged 18+ and their families, regardless of gender, race, or sexuality.

Clients at this center can choose between in-person and telehealth outpatient programs. I think this is great as it makes treatment extra accessible to those who need it. Daytime and evening appointments are also available, allowing flexibility for all kinds of schedules. Their treatment programming also follows a tiered system, offering tailored support for the different points in people’s recovery journeys. Different levels require varying contact hours, adjusted to meet clients where they’re at for optimal support. This starts with early intervention and recovery services. These involve group and individual counseling and weekly drug testing.

Meanwhile, their intensive outpatient program takes place over 6-10 weeks with a focus on addiction education and relapse prevention. During this time, you can expect to attend three group therapy sessions and up to three skills-based workshops per week over 4 days. Methods such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, as well as SMART and 12 Step philosophies, are used throughout.
