About Integrity House
The Integrity House Campus in Newark, New Jersey, has been around since 1968. They offer a full continuum of care for people living with substance use disorder, starting with long-term residential care and continuing through outpatient and aftercare services. At all levels of care, they offer a client-centered approach to treatment with personalized programs tailored to individual needs.
When looking at the programs and services, I was pleased to notice that Integrity House offers a long-term residential program designed for men and women with a history of chronic relapse, to get them on the right path to recovery. I also really like that outpatient services feature early morning and evening options so you can keep to your work and school schedules.
It’s great that the Newark campus also has a halfway house where men and women can live while they work on transitioning back into the community. In sober accommodation, they can continue their recovery without having to confront the temptations of the outside world before they’re ready.
I’m impressed with the group counseling offered at Integrity House, with a wider variety of topics covered than many other addiction treatment programs. Topics include anger management, self-image improvement, trauma support, grief and loss coping, personal issues, and relapse prevention.
Extensive recovery training is a definite standout at Integrity House. They offer various training in recovery-related topics including avoidance skills, harm reduction, overdose prevention, and issues associated with drug and alcohol use. They also help clients to access support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
Plus, clients wanting to add some holistic remedies to their recovery plan can take part in recreational activities including yoga and Zumba. You can do this off site as well, with Independence Park close by and Sports Illustrated Stadium across the Posiac River.
