Integrative Life Center is a drug and alcohol detox and residential treatment center in Taos, New Mexico. This beautiful 40 acre campus is tucked in the Sangre de Cristo mountains, which gives you a beautiful healing setting for your recovery.
They offer four week intensive programs with various options including 12 Step, SMART, Dharma and Refuge recovery to name a few. During these 28 days, you'll have 24/7 supervision and access to a wide range of master's level clinicians. This includes nurses, mental health therapists, nutritional experts, social workers and counselors.You'll have access to both private and group therapy sessions to learn about relapse prevention, identifying triggers and healthy communication. They have a very low client to staff ratio of one to six.
I like that they also offer native healing rituals including prayer and sweat lodge. You can also participate in various holistic modalities like acupuncture, mindfulness and meditation, yoga and breathwork. They also offer Reiki which is a Japanese form of energy healing. If you have a creative side, you can get a lot of healing through expressive arts therapy. There's a music studio and musicians on staff as well as different hands-on mediums you can create art with.
Your physical fitness is an important part of recovery. At the Integrative Life Center, there’s a fitness center that you can use as well as basketball and volleyball courts. Hiking is of course the perfect activity in this setting. You’ll have access to state parks, camping, local fishing and beautiful vistas of the mountains. You'll also get customized nutrition and meal planning as well as delicious meals prepared by a world class chef.
