About Innerspace Counseling, LLC
Innerspace Counseling in Old Bridge, New Jersey, is a mental health facility that treats children, adolescents and adults. They help clients with a variety of concerns, including those who have a co-occurring substance use disorder. They accept all major insurance providers and will bill on your behalf as a courtesy.
Innerspace counseling uses a technique called dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to treat things like panic attacks, eating disorder behavior, depression and anxiety, anger, self-harming and substance abuse. Taking part in DBT will help you learn how to tolerate distress, regulate your emotions, and improve mindfulness and relationships.
Their partial hospitalization program for adults is for those who need an intensive experience or have been recently released from an inpatient setting. In this program, you'll work with therapists and psychiatrists five days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During the day, you'll spend time in individual and group therapy, and family sessions. You may also need medication management and co-occurring substance use treatment.
Once you complete this program you may step down to their intensive outpatient program. In the intensive outpatient program you will get three sessions a week at three hours each. I like that they offer this program Monday through Friday so that you can choose the days that work best for you. Most complete this program in between 8 to 12 weeks.
Innerspace Counseling is proud to support LGBTQIA+ clients through their supportive and inclusive services. They offer counseling to support clients with identity and gender issues and pride counseling.
Amenities
Art and music are mediums that connect with our feelings, making them a great recovery tool during addiction treatment. Studies show that combining art/music and drug rehab can have a greater therapeutic impact than drug rehab alone, as you’re able to access parts of your brain and body that you may not have access to during traditional talk therapy. Benefits of art/music therapy include lowering stress and anxiety, promoting healthy neurochemicals, and providing stress relief.
