About Infinite Recovery Treatment Center – Houston Admissions

The Infinite Recovery Treatment Center - Houston Community Outreach is on Main Street in Houston, Texas. The center staff is available around the clock to determine a client’s needs and provide transportation to the appropriate Infinite Recovery Treatment Center in the Austin area. The Austin area programs include detox, partial hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive outpatient (IOP) programs. The programs accept many types of commercial insurance and some military insurance, including TRICARE.

Incorporating Spiritual Therapy for Addiction Treatment in Austin

One of the aspects of this program that struck me was the spiritual therapy. The program doesn’t embrace a specific religion, but the treatment approach is centered around the 12 step recovery model that is spiritually oriented. The staff encourages connecting with a higher power to enhance and aid your recovery journey.

The spiritual therapy curriculum changes weekly but usually includes some facet of self acceptance, self inquiry, and meditation. The staff supports your spiritual beliefs regardless of any religious affiliation. Some of the spiritual modalities include meditation, affirmation circles, drum circles, and sound baths.

A sound bath uses instruments like gongs or singing bowls to create a calming experience for clients. A drum circle is led by a facilitator and everyone can join in. It’s not necessary to know how to play the drums to participate. This ancient practice helps clients express themselves through rhythm. During an affirmation circle, the participants share positive thoughts about others and themselves. It helps individuals feel grateful and improves mood and self esteem.

Fitness and Movement Therapy to Enhance Treatment in Texas

In addition to traditional therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), the treatment program at this facility includes movement therapy. There are many options including swimming, boxing, yoga, dance, and other body movement therapies. I think clients will like this part of the program since physical activity improves mood.

Physical activity reduces tension and stress. Studies show that people participating in regular exercise are less likely to use substances. The movement, spirituality, and traditional therapies combine to make this an effective, holistic substance use and mental health disorder treatment program.

Art and music are mediums that connect with our feelings, making them a great recovery tool during addiction t...reatment. Studies show that combining art/music and drug rehab can have a greater therapeutic impact than drug rehab alone, as you’re able to access parts of your brain and body that you may not have access to during traditional talk therapy. Benefits of art/music therapy include lowering stress and anxiety, promoting healthy neurochemicals, and providing stress relief.
