About Imperial House
Imperial House offers residential treatment for teenage girls. It’s located in Provo, Utah, about 50 minutes from the SLC airport. Imperial House runs out of a large home in a residential area of town. They help girls work toward emotional regulation and healing by using a trauma-informed approach. Clients come for a wide range of reasons including trauma, behavioral issues, substance use, and other mental health challenges.
They have a clinical, medical, programming and academic departmenta so that clients get a collaborative approach and the best level of care. Teen girls come here for a whole person healing that supports mind, body and emotional wellness. Clients are taught about respect, responsibility, being helpful and safety.
Each girl's treatment plan will be customized to her needs and will include an education plan and lessons on personal skill development. The tools used will be specific to support each student's success once they leave the Imperial House.
They use various therapeutic methods including music and arts therapy, experiential therapy, equine therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and family systems therapy. Their residential program includes meals and accommodations in shared rooms. Up to four girls will share a well-appointed bedroom.
On site amenities include fitness and yoga equipment, comfortable furnishings, a recreation room, a school room and a movie theater. Residents will have academic support to help them manage school routines and stressors. Imperial Health is an accredited school. School credits earned during their stay are transferable.
I like that they offer weekly family therapy sessions. This allows family members to work through challenges together and build healthy family dynamics.
Imperial House also offers a day program. It runs Monday through Friday and includes therapeutic treatment, educational programs, medication management and lunch. The length of the program is based on clinical recommendations and can be a way to transition back to the home and community.
