Proud to serve the marginalized communities of St. Joseph and Elkhart counties, Imani Unidad offers outpatient services related to substance use and mental health issues from their facility in South Bend, Indiana. With a focus on the underserved Black community, they offer culturally sensitive treatment and harm reduction programs to help clients lead healthy, fulfilled lives.
Outpatient treatment services include free individual counseling that helps clients explore their addiction behaviors, emotions, and beliefs in a safe, non-judgmental space. There are also weekly support groups where clients can learn life skills and receive support from recovery specialists who have successfully broken free from addiction.
Harm Reduction services help clients who have not quite broken free of addiction to use substances in a ‘safer’ way while maintaining dignity. These services include syringe drop-off and Nalox box sites, STD/STI information and presentations, free HIV, hepatitis C, syphilis, and pregnancy testing. They also supply free harm reduction supplies including cookers, sharps containers, Narcan, condoms, hygiene supplies, and more.
