About I Am Recovery
I Am Recovery provides behavioral health and addiction counseling in Cedar Hills, Utah. They specialize in treating behavioral health and addiction concerns and giving family and peer support.
The primary treatment programs are intensive outpatient programs and general outpatient programs. They also offer free aftercare.
This is a holistic recovery program that focuses on identifying and utilizing your strengths to achieve recovery. In addition to treatment, they also provide DUI assessments as requested through court orders and employers.
This facility accepts many private insurance plans as well as Medicaid. Their programs are designed for those who have recently completed detox or inpatient treatment programs.
I think I Am Recovery's greatest strength is the number of different therapeutic approaches they practice. Having multiple options like this make individualized care a truly unique experience and gives you a greater chance of finding the treatment you'll "click" with the most.
In addition to traditional cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy modalities, they offer multiple experiential therapies. Other options include narrative therapy and motivational interviewing, as well as written exposure therapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, to name only a few. While these methods differ in approach, they can all be utilized to achieve recovery goals.
If walking and exercise helps you recuperate and relax, there are some parks within walking distance. Manila Creek Park has a lake and Murdock Canal Trail offers some hiking paths.
I Am Recovery also provides neurofeedback training through NuerOptimal. This isn't a treatment method itself but its use can improve symptoms associated with addiction and some mental illnesses. It can be used in conjunction with a treatment program, with some tests showing it can make participants more receptive to therapy. It's a nice option to consider if you've struggled with treatment in the past.
