About House of Hope
House of Hope
As you travel west out of Brazil, Indiana, you’ll find the House of Hope between Billtown and Cloverland. They’re a small rehabilitation ministry that’s part of the broader Mission Teens Inc. nonprofit organization.
They offer hope and a place to stay to all adults who need help breaking free from addiction. What I like about them in particular is that they provide their services at no cost to applicants. One recent graduate from this program wrote that her family only had to pay for the bus tickets when she wanted to visit them.
Helping You Find Freedom Through Discipline
They require an initial blood test to screen for substances before you move in. This way, they’re able to keep the environment as safe as possible for your fellow residents.
The program itself is structured over four phases, each with a unique focus and lasting between two and four months. In each phase, you’ll have responsibilities, chores, classes and privileges. As you progress, you’ll gain responsibilities in other areas and earn more privileges, which helps you build the skills and discipline to maintain an independent lifestyle.
A Place Free of Distractions
The ministry’s location in rural Indiana puts it far from the ordinary distractions one might encounter during recovery. One of my favorite parts about places like this is that these quiet settings create a stronger sense of community within the program.
