A Unique Vivitrol Program in Jackson, Ohio
I noticed that the medication assisted treatment (MAT) here is unique and uses Vivitrol. The program is offered in partnership with a successful drug court program certified by the Ohio Supreme Court.
The participants in the program are involved in the justice system, have poor health, serious mental health needs, lack transportation and employment and are often unhoused without a good social support network. The MAT project addresses all of these needs through key wraparound services.
The MAT project is a 12 month program. Clients receive mental health, substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and medical care while in the program. Case managers work with clients as they progress through the program.
Community Psychiatric Support Treatment Services (CPST) in Ohio
Services at this location also include SUD treatment for those not in the MAT program. Additionally, they offer psychiatry, including medication management. The CPST program is for adults and children with severe mental illness or emotional disturbances. The services are community, home, or office based, which I think clients will appreciate for the convenience.
Case managers in the program assist with accessing entitlements, medical care and housing. They connect clients with community resources and help them learn adaptive living skills. Services are dependent on individual clients’ needs.
