About Hope In the Mountain

Hope in the Mountains is a recovery facility located in a nature setting that provides substance abuse treatment in a secluded corner of Prestonsburg, Kentucky. It’s by Wills Branch. Residential, transitional, and outpatient care are customized to your addiction and recovery needs.

Residential Care Customized to You

I noted there are two residential programs: high intensity and low intensity. Depending on your intake sessions, if residential care is recommended, you’ll be placed into one of these programs. High intensity is a week long and is designed for the newly sober with an emphasis on the 12 Steps along with various counseling. The low intensity program is intended for long term recovery and focuses more on future goals and avoiding relapse.

Transitional Services & Outpatient Care

Recovering from addiction isn’t the only hurdle people face. Returning to normal life can be overwhelming, and Hope in the Mountains tackles these specific issues in the transitional program and encourages peer support.

I found that of all the programs, outpatient care focuses on dual diagnosis counseling to target underlying mental health conditions that might trigger relapse in the future. Sessions can be individual, group or family formatted. Peer support is also greatly encouraged.

Hope in the Mountains accepts Medicaid and several insurances. Speak with a patient care advocate to determine coverage details.
