About MVA Behavioral Health and Hope House

MVA Behavioral Health and Hope House in Jonesville, Michigan, is an accredited mental and behavioral health center that also provides addiction treatment services. Treatment is available to adults. Medicaid from 22 counties is accepted here, as well as various private insurance providers. Self pay options including sliding scale fees are also available.

Though MVA offers a range of other treatment programs including outpatient and intensive outpatient programs, Hope House is the facility’s dedicated location for residential addiction treatment. This intensive inpatient program offers structured addiction treatment in a safe, supportive environment where clients can focus deeply on the recovery process.

Following initial assessments and evaluations, the team develops an individualized treatment plan for each of its clients. This will inform how they spend their time while at Hope House. Their schedule may involve a combination of group and individual therapy, educational sessions and aftercare planning. Residents can expect 40 hours or more of treatment per week.

Therapy sessions allow clients to address the psychological elements of their addictive behaviors and how they cope with difficult emotions and situations and provide the emotional support to help them work through these aspects. Addiction education will give them a better understanding of the mechanics behind addiction, while other sessions may teach residents useful relapse prevention strategies or life skills to help them in their long term recovery journey.

The length of residential treatment can last up to 90 days depending on individual needs and progress. Near the end of their time here, clients will work closely with their treatment team to develop a continuing care plan to support them post discharge. This may include outpatient services or regular support group meetings.

While here, residents can benefit from a number of fun amenities. Hope House offers basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, an onsite laundry service, and most importantly, a comfortable room.
