About Hope Haven Development Center
Located in Burlington, Iowa, Hope Haven Development Center is a non-profit organization that provides vocational, residential, employment and crisis services. These services help people with developmental disabilities. In terms of addiction care, they offer a dual diagnosis residential program that accommodates 15 adults at a time. While teaching you to live as independently as possible, they’ll address your mental health and substance abuse recovery needs. To be eligible for this program, you must not require inpatient hospitalization or substance detox.
The residential program, known as River Cross, provides a fully furnished setting with 24-hour medical support. Hope Haven partners with ADDS to provide treatment, rehabilitation, prevention, and education related to substance abuse. This will include individual and group counseling sessions. There will be comprehensive assessments and crisis management and intervention. Intensive psychiatric care will help you manage all symptoms and be ready to reintegrate into the community when ready.
While in treatment you’ll be linked to service providers in the community, establish support networks, and receive help to improve employment outlook. Case managers can help you organize living arrangements, transportation and access to religious activities. You’ll also receive peer support and medication management. Family support, education, and assistance are part of the program here. Ongoing support can be provided in an integrated therapeutic environment.
This organization also offers respite services, crisis stabilization, and employment services. Weekend respite services offer adults entertainment and socializing activities.
