It is a part of the Clackamas County Behavioral Health department. It not only treats voluntary admissions but works in association with the courts to provide treatment to people under court order to receive care.

Customized Addiction Care

Addiction doesn’t look the same in every individual. This is why I appreciate that they develop customized plans to directly address the root causes of addiction and provide recovery strategies that help newly sober people navigate life. Situation specific care such as treating parents with addiction or people with past traumas helps to reinforce sobriety after the initial treatment plan ends.

Mental Health Care

Another nice feature at Lake Road is the adult mental health treatment program which provides a range of therapeutic services for participating adults. This includes individual and group counseling sessions that are also customized to best fit the needs of each person. I found that total length of participation can vary and is dependent upon your needs.

Dual diagnosis care is provided if needed. Medication evaluation and management as well as crisis intervention are also services that they can provide if necessary.

Comprehensive Aftercare

Recovering from addiction isn’t just about no longer using substances. It also includes returning to life after sobriety. Staff here understand this reality which is why I like that the facility offers not just community resources and peer support through the Mental Health and Addiction Association of Oregon but employment assistance as well.
