About Highland Rivers Residential

Highland Rivers Health Polk Crisis Stabilization Unit provides emergency support for people in crisis with both mental health and substance use disorders (SUD) in Cedartown, Georgia. This facility is part of the greater Highland Rivers Health network with multiple locations across 13 counties throughout Northwest Georgia. It is also one of four crisis stabilization/detox units within the network. This network accepts Medicaid and Medicare, private insurance and sliding scales for those with demonstrated need.

Mental Health and Addiction Crisis Support

Specifically, the Cedartown location is designed to help members of the community suffering from an emergency. This includes both mental health and SUD treatment. I like that this includes detox plans to safely help you achieve sobriety.

Supervised Recovery for Enhanced Success

Another feature I like is that this particular recovery center can provide 24 hour supervision for people struggling with SUD. This helps to minimize the risk of relapse and includes intensive treatment programs designed to boost effective coping skills as well as teach life skills for maintaining sobriety.

Catered Programs for Vulnerable Groups

Along with general treatment programs, I appreciate that the Highland Rivers Health network also provides demographic-specific tracks. Not all programs are available at the Polk location, but their network offers opportunities like residential care for women that allows participants to reside with their children aged 13 or younger.
