About New Directions

New Directions is a mental health facility located in Anniston, Alabama. They’re an outpatient service that treats people for many different kinds of mental health conditions including substance use disorders They also treat justice system clients.

Signing Up for a New Direction

Pregnant women, especially those who are IV users, are admitted first. They also prioritize women with children and people with HIV.

When you enroll, you’ll have a full intake assessment to determine the best therapeutic method for you. The intake meeting will also let therapists know how often you should come in for therapy.

Levels of Care

People who need a high level of care will enter the intensive outpatient program in which they will come in eight hours a week. People who’ve standard outpatient care may come in anytime from once a month to once a week. All clients will receive group and individual therapy.

If you’ve been charged or convicted of a drug-related crime, they can treat you here. They serve people who have been charged with driving under the influence as well as those who’ve lost custody of their children due to a substance-related issue.
