Henrico Area Mental Health in Glen Allen, Virginia, is a state run healthcare department that provides a range of services to adults, adolescents and their families. They provide care if you're experiencing challenges with your mental health or need support for a substance use disorder. There is outpatient care here and office based opioid treatment. There are dedicated women's services and care for pregnant and parenting women. They accept policies from most major insurance providers including Medicaid. Some supports are offered at affordable flat fees.

The care here is comprehensive and rooted in evidence based therapies. Through case management, an individualized treatment plan will be created for you. If you have a dual diagnosis, you'll work with an integrated care team. This team may include psychologists, therapists, drug and alcohol counselors and other support staff. They have onsite medical services that will treat your co-occurring struggles.

Through their office based opioid treatment, you'll have specialized care to treat your chemical dependency. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available here and includes access to medications including Suboxone, Vivitrol and Campral. Methadone is available if your circumstances require it.

There are also cognitive behavioral therapies offered in individual and group settings. You'll learn critical coping skills. Relapse prevention services are also available. Other treatment models offered include the matrix model, moral reconation therapy, nutrition therapy and dialectical behavior therapy.

You’ll also have access to addiction education, and your loved ones can get training on Narcan use. 12 Step style programs including Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are also offered here.
