About Helena Prerelease Center
Boyd Andrew Community Services Helena Prerelease Center is located in Helena, Montana. This facility has 105 beds for adult men and is part of the Montana Department of Community Corrections.
It’s designed to help those who were in the judicial and or correctional system shift to living on their own in the community. They focus on employment, education, treatment and connections.
Employment & Education at Boyd
They believe employment can mean more than financial gain, it can be a sense of pride and sense of identity. They have a full time job coordinator on staff and they can find you a job in an average of 7 to 10 days. You’ll be required to work the entire time.
You can get education about life skills and job prep here, and they approach it for the long term. They can also help you get your GED or with other schooling.
Treatment for All
I like the motto they have here that states a drug free and emotionally stable person will be able to get and stay well. They have chemical dependency experts on hand as well as a part time psychologist to help you with addiction and mental health issues.
They do intensive outpatient addiction treatment that consists of 10 hours per week of treatment and programming. They also have a general outpatient addiction treatment program that’s only one to three hours per week, depending on your needs.
I like the fact that you can still get treatment but have time to accomplish other tasks like finding a job or working. They also have parenting classes and a victim impact panel, and they work with cognitive therapies.
They pride themselves here on being a place where you can connect with others and or places of support, which is especially important for those being released from jail. Do note that being here is a privilege, and clients who try to walk away can be sentenced to stricter terms.
Amenities
Private drug rehab provides a comfortable, secure environment that allows you to focus on doing the work to get your life back on track. Benefits include a higher staff-to-client ratio, increased one-on-one time with therapists and healthcare providers, private rooms for clients, and customized forms of therapy.
Residential drug rehab provides the comforts of home with the therapeutic support needed to successfully recover. Benefits of an inpatient program include increased safety, a higher success rate, and the time and distance given to focus on recovery. Residential drug rehabs are often the preferred method of treatment, as they can be tailored to meet specific needs, offer focused therapeutic care, and provide the necessary tools to sustain recovery.
In order to maintain a sense of autonomy, many private rehab facilities offer clients the ability to choose their own private rooms. The privacy and personal space ensure that the recovery process is as comfortable as possible.
