About Gull Harbour Apartments
Gull Harbour is a treatment center located in Moorhead, Minnesota. They offer treatment for adults who are struggling with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. From the time they were established, their philosophy has always been to provide individualized care to help elevate and enrich lives. They have a team of highly skilled professionals who are driven to assist you during your time of healing and help you keep moving forward.
During the duration of your stay in their intensive residential treatment services (IRTS) program they will develop a treatment plan. This will help you establish and accomplish goals and help you develop life skills.
What sticks out to me is their illness management and recovery program. As you begin your journey of healing and prioritizing your wellbeing, illness may have an impact on your quality of life. They can provide care coordination so you can get the treatment needed to manage symptoms and also help you develop a recovery plan that can hold you accountable.
I think it’s great that they also offer family education. This helps your loved ones get a more in depth understanding of chemical dependency or co-occurring conditions and how they can influence behaviors and thinking. This can help your family develop healthy boundaries and problem solving skills when challenges arise. They’ll have a better understanding of what to do to help the family unit as a whole and support you on our recovery journey.
Prior to completing their residential program they will develop a discharge plan with you. It can be nerve racking to know you’re completing inpatient care and be worried about what your life will look like when you leave. Their discharge planning can assist with housing placement, referrals for continuation of care, and local resources for you to attend 12 Step meetings or recovery support groups.
