About Greer Mental Health Clinic a division of PCMHS
Greer Mental Health Center in Greer, South Carolina, is part of the Greenville Mental Health Center operated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Office of Mental Health. They provide outpatient mental health treatment to adults, children, and youth. This includes treatment for addiction and substance abuse disorders as well as other mental health conditions or concerns.
Outpatient Mental Health Weekdays
The clinic is open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday and closed on the weekend. Any emergency or urgent cases should be seen at a local emergency room, mental health urgent care department or call 988 if there is concern about safety of the patient or others.
Non-urgent concerns may be assessed and access gained to a care team through one of those services or through programs like the Assertive Community Treatment or Mobile Crisis program or through professional or self referral.
Telehealth and Other Options
There are telepsychiatry programs and virtual appointments available as well as in person outpatient treatment. This may be individual counselling sessions or in couples, families or group formats. There are also mental health assessments and individualized care plan management as well as job serch services to help provide mental health wellness to employees and those seeking employment.
Some Insurance Accepted
Greer Mental Health Center and most services provided by Greenville Mental Health Center and the Department of Behavioral Health do accept some insurance plans such as Medicare and Medicaid, BlueCross and BlueShield. They accept TRICARE but are not in their network.
