About Gosnold Emerson House

Based in Falmouth, Massachusetts, Gosnold at Emerson House provides accredited residential addiction treatment to adults aged 18+ regardless of gender, race, or background. Those with a dual diagnosis or concurrent mental health conditions may also seek treatment here.

To begin their recovery journey, clients can access detoxification services here at Gosnold’s detox center and stabilization unit, where there are 50 beds available for medically monitored withdrawal treatment. This typically lasts around 4-8 days, with clients able to access medication that will help ease uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms and cravings.

A dedicated team of nurses, physicians, case managers, and counselors are on hand to support, and patients will go through psychosocial assessments to better evaluate their needs. During this time, they can access one-to-one and group counseling, addiction education, and an introduction to 12 Step philosophy and programming.

Once they have completed detox, clients can access aftercare support, or move on to residential treatment, depending on their specific needs.

Residents at Emerson House receive individualized treatment plans, and are assigned a treatment team made up of a case manager, primary addiction counselor, as well as nursing staff and recovery specialists. The facility greatly encourages residents’ families to get involved and support them during treatment, and invites them to attend weekly addiction education courses, and take part in family therapy sessions. This way, they can understand and get involved in treatment planning, aftercare, and generally support their loved ones through their recovery journey.

You'll be allowed to smoke cigarettes, but you will need to bring as many as you may need to last you the course of treatment. Depending on the discretion of the facility, you may be permitted to take your cellphone and other electronic devices.

Amenities

Art Therapy

Art and music are mediums that connect with our feelings, making them a great recovery tool during addiction treatment. Studies show that combining art/music and drug rehab can have a greater therapeutic impact than drug rehab alone, as you’re able to access parts of your brain and body that you may not have access to during traditional talk therapy. Benefits of art/music therapy include lowering stress and anxiety, promoting healthy neurochemicals, and providing stress relief.

Meditation Room

Yoga and meditation are great activities to support your recovery process during alcohol or drug rehab. These therapies have been around for centuries, and they are an effective way to improve well-being. Combining addiction treatment, yoga, and meditation can reduce cravings, improve sleep, relieve anxiety and depression, provide stress relief, promote relaxation, support emotional healing, and improve energy levels.

Private Rehab

Private drug rehab provides a comfortable, secure environment that allows you to focus on doing the work to get your life back on track. Benefits include a higher staff-to-client ratio, increased one-on-one time with therapists and healthcare providers, private rooms for clients, and customized forms of therapy.

Residential Setting

Residential drug rehab provides the comforts of home with the therapeutic support needed to successfully recover. Benefits of an inpatient program include increased safety, a higher success rate, and the time and distance given to focus on recovery. Residential drug rehabs are often the preferred method of treatment, as they can be tailored to meet specific needs, offer focused therapeutic care, and provide the necessary tools to sustain recovery.

Levels of Care

Outpatient Rehab

Detox & MAT

The first step to a drug-free future is detox. This involves slowly and safely ridding your body of all addictive substances, under 24/7 supervision. This is typically the initial phase of drug rehab in Massachusetts.

Sober Living

In Massachusetts sober living, you will take on more responsibility than rehab treatment requires. You’ll pay rent and work or attend school. You’ll also contribute to household chores. The goal is to learn how to live independently, free from drugs and alcohol.

As the most intensive treatment setting, inpatient drug rehab in Massachusetts treatment involves 24/7 supervised care. At this level of care, you typically participate in individual, group, and family therapy sessions, and you may receive medication and additional recreational therapies.

Payment Options

Self-Pay Options

If you prefer to take control of the cost of your treatment, you can opt to pay for it yourself through self-pay options, also known as private pay. This option provides access to all levels of care — from detox to inpatient rehabilitation — because you’re not limited by the rules of insurers or state-run programs.

Private Insurance

If you have private insurance, you can use it to help cover the cost of treatment. Most rehab insurance policies tend to have different coverage rates and costs that policyholders are responsible for paying, so check with your insurer for detailed information.

Medicaid Accepted

If you're in need of financial assistance, MassHealth may be an option for you. MassHealth can help pay for all levels of care, including detox and inpatient rehabilitation.

Financial Aid

If you're struggling to pay for treatment, financial aid may be a solution for you. This can provide access to all levels of care. Financial assistance options include grants, scholarships, non-profit programs, personal funding, and health insurance programs to help you manage the expense of substance abuse treatment.

Medicare Accepted

As a resident of Massachusetts with MassHealth Senior Care Options, you may have coverage options to help with the cost of treatment. The amount of coverage will depend on many things, including whether you are seeking inpatient or outpatient treatment for substance abuse.

TRICARE

Administered by the Department of Defense, TRICARE offers comprehensive military health insurance plans for active and retired military members and their families. Similar to PPO programs offered by private insurance companies, TRICARE covers multiple levels of care for addiction treatment, including detox, inpatient rehab, and outpatient services.

Payment Plans & Financing

For those who are underinsured or uninsured, paying the total cost of a rehab program up front is not feasible. Fortunately, many alcohol and drug rehabs make financing available to potential clients through private loans, in-house payment plans, or partner lenders. You can choose a finance package that lets you start treatment immediately and pay for it later.
