About Gosnold Cataumet
Located in Cataumet, Massachusetts, the Gosnold at Cataumet Residential Rehabilitation facility used to assist men and women who needed support for a mental health struggle or substance use disorder. Their facility provided a whole-person focused approach to care so that you could have developed critical skills for sustainable sobriety. They’re currently closed, but the site is being developed as a residential facility for children by Newport Healthcare.
At Gosnold, you would have had access to medical detox using FDA-approved medications. Once you started your recovery, you would have worked with trained and experienced staff members to ensure you could move through detox safely and with the support you needed to manage your withdrawal systems.
As you exited detox, you would have been further supported through counseling sessions, life skills programs, and other support. There were also specialized services that included a veterans program that would have catered to your unique recovery needs.
This organization also stood out because, after your residential treatment, you would have been connected to other community services through their community outreach arm. These services could have helped you get easier access to more specialized care or additional treatments that you might have required during your recovery.
