About Good Samaritan Services Mark’s House
Mark’s House Transitional Family Shelter is located on North N Street in Lompoc, California and is part of Good Samaritan Services. A five-family communal living house, they provide transitional housing for families who are homeless as they recover from drug and alcohol addiction and housing displacement.
Outpatient treatment programs for men and women are available to you as well through Good Samaritan Services at its main South C Street location.
A Structured Transitional Living Space for Families
Mark’s House provides you with a safe, alcohol and drug free environment with communal kitchens, lounges and outdoor spaces to offer you a calm and quiet space to recover. They emphasize providing transitional living space that is clean, welcoming and structured and that truly feels like a home.
I think it’s especially notable that your family can live here with you, including your kids. You rarely find this in a transitional home so it’s a standout option if you’re in recovery and your family needs a place to stay together.
Referrals Accepted Through Coordinated Entry System (CES) Process
Families at Mark’s House are referred to the program through the CES process and must be from Mid County (Lompoc and its surrounding neighborhoods).
While in the residential setting, clients will receive case management services as well as additional housing referrals and connections to outside support including mental health services, public health and addiction services. You can get treatment through Good Samaritan’s outpatient program or any other programs that may be more conducive to each client’s individual situation and needs.
Teaching Life Skills for a Better Family Life
Mark’s House also provides you with helpful classes and training on budgeting and parenting. These educational programs may better prepare you as you transition from communal to independent living.
Located in Lompoc, you will be close to parks such as Ryon Memorial Park, Lompoc Public Library and Lompoc Museum. You are also in close proximity to the historic Old Town Lompoc district.
