The first step in treatment at Hu Hu Kam is to undergo a drug addiction assessment and review any medical issues you may have as a result of drug use. Medication assisted therapy may be used to help ease the discomfort of physical withdrawal symptoms. Physicians at this hospital are certified to prescribe Suboxone for opioid addiction.
The intensive outpatient program is held five days per week for three to four hours per day. This program is 80 days long, and you’ll receive a certificate of completion after your 80 days are over. Using the matrix approach, clinicians will help you in creating a structured and substance free lifestyle. Ongoing support can be provided in matrix groups three days per week.
The continuing care group meets once a week and talks about topics like recovery skills and relapse prevention. Here you’ll have the opportunity to participate in sober activities and create a sober support network. If you need extra support, case managers can guide you through housing and employment support.
