About Genesis Behavioral Health

Genesis Behavioral Health is the mental health extension of the Genesis Healthcare System (GHS) facility located in Zanesville, Ohio. The behavioral health division provides not only outpatient drug and alcohol recovery care but also offers psychiatric care for both adults and children. It is one of two related behavioral health facilities within the GHS network.

GHS accepts most major insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicaid. There are also discounts that may be available for people who aren’t insured.

Intensive Outpatient Group Program

In particular, GHS’ Behavioral Health unit provides outpatient care for both drugs and alcohol. This includes an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that’s given in a group setting.
