Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Freeman Health

The hospital has a total of 72 beds. I find it good to know that at Freeman Hospital East, they offer an inpatient psychiatric unit to treat and address acute mental health issues and substance use disorder. I like that Freeman East also offers additional services including radiology, pediatric therapy, kidney care, senior care and an inpatient physical rehab unit.

There’s also an onsite cafeteria and gift gallery that you can visit. Courtyards are also accessible for clients and loved ones to walk and relax. Cellphones can be used to contact loved ones directly.

Residential Treatment for Adults

At their inpatient psychiatric unit, the staff first evaluates and assesses your conditions during intake. They will offer one-on-one counseling, family and group therapy to address past traumas and the root causes. Medication management, life skills counseling are also offered and your team may refer you to one of their residential treatment programs.

They will also provide you with aftercare support which may include providing access to social services including healthcare benefits, food and housing support.
