A seafront resort, Free by the Sea in Ocean Park, Washington, provides coed addiction treatment to adolescents, adults, and seniors. Offering detox, residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program, and an intensive outpatient program, they have a full continuum of care. The campus has 45 rooms to accommodate residents. The average stay for inpatient care is 30 days. While living on campus, you’ll engage in structured activities like group therapy, mindfulness practice, and addiction education. Counseling is trauma informed and covers topics like relapse prevention, shame, and resilience. Spiritual direction can help you find inner peace. You’ll develop interpersonal skills and connections with others in recovery. With the support of a psychiatrist, you’ll receive treatment for any co occurring mental health concerns.
The partial hospitalization program will require you to attend treatment sessions for five hours per day Monday through Friday. During your time on campus you’ll receive medical care, group therapy, and medication management. The intensive outpatient program offers a step down into three to four days of treatment sessions per week. These sessions last about four hours per day. You’ll engage in recreation therapy and 12 Step meetings. Family therapy will help you repair broken relationships and build sober support groups.
