About Follman Counseling Agency

Follman Counseling Agency was an outpatient mental health and addiction treatment center in Burlington, Washington. The clinic is now closed, but it provided multiple treatment services as well as court ordered classes for domestic violence and anger management.

What stands out to me is that they could also address problem gambling and internet use. The clinic accepted multiple insurance plans and encouraged clients to call their insurance company for coverage information.

Intensive Outpatient Programs and Dual Diagnosis Treatment

The Follman Counseling Agency had an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for substance use treatment. This included around nine hours of treatment each week and included individual and group therapy.

The Agency could also address co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, as well as help clients with mental health by itself. Mental health services included anger management classes and a domestic violence accountability program.

Services for Those in the Justice System

The Agency provided treatment for non violent offenders with substance use disorders. The diversion program was eight to 10 weeks long and allowed these clients to avoid jail time while getting the treatment they needed.

I appreciate that they also had an Alcohol and Drug Information School that could help those involved in the justice system fulfill court requirements and better understand the impact of substance use on their decision making. The class ran for a single eight-hour day.
